Sarah M. White, MD, MBA is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. She graduated with Honors and Distinction from Cornell University in 1981 and received her MD degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1985. From 1985-86, she completed her first year of an Orthopaedic surgery residency program at George Washington University. In 1991, she completed her residency in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Georgetown University Medical Center/Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington DC. She later served as an Attending Physiatrist on the staff of the Medstar Washington Hospital Center and the Medstar National Rehabilitation Hospital for three years. For twenty years, she served as Medical Director of the Bay Area Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Electrodiagnostic Laboratory. During her tenure as Medical Director, the Bay Area Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Electrodiagnostic Laboratory was awarded Accreditation with Exemplary Status from the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. In 2019, she earned a Leadership Coaching Strategies Certificate from the Harvard University Extension School and in 2023, she earned an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Quantic School of Business and Technology in Washington D.C. Dr. White is a member of the medical staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center and the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Her areas of interest include musculoskeletal medicine consulting, independent medical evaluations, permanent impairment ratings, disability determinations, expert medical testimony, leadership coaching, nerve conduction studies and electromyography(EMG’s), acupuncture, and non-operative treatment of neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. Dr. White has published several articles in nationally recognized medical journals, has presented research papers at both national and local medical meetings, and has served as an Outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation Facility Medical Director, Arthritis Foundation Board member, and a Maryland State Medical Society (MedChi) legislative committee member. She has extensive experience testifying as an expert medical witness in cases involving neuromusculoskeletal injury. In addition, she has provided expert testimony in the Medicare Office of Hearings and Appeals for numerous inpatient hospitalization medical necessity cases.
